Travel Tips:
-
Your
Travel Wardrobe - when planning your travel wardrobe, think
"double-duty". Pack garments that you can wear two or three
different ways. Ideas can be found on the reverse side of my "It
Only Takes One Suitcase" card. Pack undergarments for 7
days no matter the length of the trip.
-
When
traveling about European towns via a taxi, before you enter into the taxi tell driver
that you would like a receipt. The taxi driver will not hand you
an actual receipt, however this simple request tells the driver that you
are aware of the taxi fee, thus causing him to be honest in his
charging.
-
In a café or
trattoria, if you stand to eat lunch or dinner the cost of the meal is
less expensive than if seated.
-
Again, while
in Europe and enjoying a meal at a restaurant, ask if the bill is
"complete". Many times the tip is included in the total bill.
If it is "complete", there is no need to add a tip.
